Is it likely to be available within the US in the future?

On June 29th 2007 manufacturers of Rimonabant, Sanofi Aventis, withdrew their drug application for sale of the drug in the US. The withdrawal was followed by a statement declaring that the pharmaceutical company wish to work with the FDA with an aim to be in a position to resubmit their application in the future.

Unless the FDA approve Rimonabant the drug will not be available in the US
